Dear BCMS Families,
As we race through the month of May, it truly feels like we are both winding down the school year while also ramping up for all of the exciting events and celebrations that come with the final weeks of school.
This week, our baseball, softball, and boys’ lacrosse seasons came to a close. Congratulations to all of our student-athletes on their hard work, determination, and commitment throughout the season. We are proud of the effort and sportsmanship they demonstrated while representing BCMS.
Our girls’ lacrosse teams are beginning their playoff run on Monday after enjoying a well-earned bye week. Monday’s game will determine whether they advance to the championship games on Wednesday. Good luck to our players and coaches as they continue their season!
We also enjoyed an incredible week of musical performances. On Tuesday evening, our band students put on a fantastic concert showcasing all of their hard work and growth this year. Then on Thursday, we held a school-wide performing arts assembly featuring performances from our band, choir, orchestra, and scenes from this year’s musical, Shrek Jr. It was a wonderful celebration of the talent, creativity, and dedication of our students and staff. Many of these groups will continue on to represent BCMS at the Teen Arts Festival this Tuesday.
This week also marked the completion of NJSLA-A testing in our building. Our students did a great job demonstrating resilience, focus, and determination throughout the testing process, and we are proud of the effort they showed each day.
The next several weeks are filled with grade-level field trips, opportunities to celebrate our students’ accomplishments, and events honoring our graduating 8th graders. We are looking forward to these celebrations and to welcoming our families as we recognize the many successes of our students.
Have a great weekend!
