BCMS Family Update

Dear BCMS Families,

This week, our community experienced a difficult and unexpected event with Wednesday’s fire, which impacted several members of our school community. Moments like this remind us how closely connected we all are and how important it is to support one another.

In the midst of this challenge, I want to recognize the incredible outpouring of care, generosity, and compassion shown by our BCMS families and the greater community. From offering support to those directly affected to checking in on neighbors and classmates, the response has been a powerful reminder of the strength of our Branchburg community. These actions reflect the values we strive to instill in our students each day: kindness, empathy, and a commitment to looking out for one another.

As we head into the weekend, we encourage everyone to take time to rest and recharge, and to continue keeping those impacted in your thoughts.

As a reminder, next Friday is a single session day for our students. Schools will be closed for Spring Break from March 30-April 3.

Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support.
Have a restful weekend,

Warm regards,
Beth Stanton
Principal, BCMS

A Harmony of Voices at the Choral Clinic

This past Tuesday, 83 of our 7th and 8th Grade Choir students joined forces with the SHS and SMS choirs for an incredible Choral Clinic Day. Under the expert guidance of Dr. Thomas Juneau from Wagner College, our students received invaluable feedback on their upcoming concert and competition pieces. The day was filled with music, connection, and a few highlights that made the experience truly special:

● Mentorship in Action: One of the most rewarding parts of the day was seeing our BCMS Choir alumni now at the high school. It was wonderful to see them step up as leaders and mentors for our current students, bridging the gap between middle and high school.
● A Massive Mid-Day Celebration: Lunchtime turned into a high-energy sing-along that filled the room with joy (and plenty of pizza!).
● 120 Voices in Unison: In the afternoon, I had the pleasure of leading a combined rehearsal of 120 middle school singers from both SMS and BCMS. Hearing that many voices come together in unity was a powerful reminder of the community we are building.
● Forging Future Friendships: Beyond the music, BCMS students began connecting with their peers from SMS, building friendships that will continue when they head to high school together in a few years.

A huge thank you to our wonderful chaperones who made this day possible. It was a beautiful day of music and connection that our students won't soon forget!
